“Do not desire the touch of a Maibd, a bride of Khaine, for her life is wholly given to the Lord of Murder, and he is a jealous god, unwilling to share his chosen ones.” - Ruerl Blackhand, Lord of Har Ganeth

Witch Elves are the maiden-elves who are wedded to Khaine, the Lord of Murder, in midnight rites of blood sacrifice and magic. The decadent fragile looks of the maidens of Ulthuan are nothing compared to the intoxicating beauty of the Witch Elves. Witch Elves go to war alongside the Dark Elf armies, eager to prove themselves in the eyes of their god. For them the battlefield is just another temple of Khaine, and the screams of the dying are praises sung in honor of the bloody-handed god.
Witch Elf Specialty
The brides of Khaine are fanatical fighters. Wielding long sacrificial daggers dripping with vile poisons, these incredibly quick and agile fighters race across the battlefield leaving blood and destruction in their wake. The more blood they spill, the greater their fervor for battle. As the Witch Elf’s Frenzy increases so do the incredible feats she can perform in battle. A Witch Elf at the height of her bloodlust can penetrate even the staunchest defenses.
Playing as the Witch Elf
A Witch Elf can be an unstoppable force of death and destruction under the proper circumstances. By picking their targets carefully, the Witch Elf can win a fight in a short amount of time. A Witch Elf prefers to rapidly close with lightly armored targets, where their wicked poisons can find exposed flesh. Using a combination of rapid attacks, the Witch Elf works herself up into a Frenzy to execute powerful attacks that will stop most opponents dead in their tracks. When facing a heavily armored foe, the Witch Elf relies on her agility to survive long enough to pick apart her opponent’s defenses and opening him up to a savage death blow.
Fighting the Witch Elf
The key to defeating a Bride of Khaine is not being overwhelmed by the beauty of her savage attack. When facing a Witch Elf the best counter to her tremendous offense is to respond in kind. The Witch Elves pay for their speed and agility by having virtually no defenses, and using this to your advantage is the key to success. One must either hold their ground allowing her Frenzy to play out, or match it in kind in the hopes that you can defeat her before she gifts you with the kiss of death.

Maibd: The Brides of Khaine
The Dark Elves are somewhat unique among the races of the world in that their society is strongly monotheistic, being entirely devoted to the worship of Khaela Mensha Khaine, the Bloody Handed God and the Elven God of War and Murder. While the worship of Khaine has also been discovered within the lands of men, the true Cult of Khaine within the Druchii society is vastly different than these secretive death cults. The official state religion of the Druchii, Khaine is the one god chosen by these dark folk who emphasizes all those traits they have chosen to favor in themselves. Of course no discussion of Khaine could be complete without speaking of the Brides of Khaine, known as the Maibd and more commonly as the Witch Elves.
Among the Druchii much fear and honor is given to these deadly ladies, beautiful and perilous to behold. In their hearts they hold no love, no devotion to any save their bloody god, being sworn to hold no other and, in the ways of their cult, are even wedded to Khaine in dark ceremonies. These Witch Elves are not idle worshippers in their dark temples, but rather active adherents to the needs and calling of their lord, seeking out those worthy of being sacrificed upon their altars. Often the Witch Elves prey upon their own folk, dragging men and women from their homes to be offered up upon the altars of their ever-hungry god. Countless slaves, either ones bred in service to the Dark Elves or captured in battles elsewhere in the world are also taken, their blood and souls offered up in orgies of violence to further Baptize these dread folk in the eyes of their god.
From the moment they are taken by the temple and inducted into the cult, the women who would become the Brides of Khaine are expertly trained in the arts of the temple. Great warriors, they are taught how to kill and to inflict pain from an early age. Their lust for blood and death drives them to ever greater acts of murder and bloodshed to appease their lord. Lithe and beautiful, these cruel maidens do not adorn themselves with heavy armor but rather throw themselves into battle clad in ceremonial garb and wielding cruel weapons to bring pain and death to all they encounter. Masters of arcane secrets, the Maibd make good use of deadly poisons and other elixirs to further enhance their martial arts.
It is not only in the far-distant Land of Chill that one may encounter the Witch Elves, but also upon our own shores should the war machine of their people turn towards us. Often the Witch Elves will join their kin in battle, hoping to further dedicate themselves to their bloody god, sanctifying through bloody sacrifice the efforts of their allies. Survivors of encounters with the Witch Elves have described them as frenzied fanatical warriors, beautiful yet feral maidens who leap into battle with little care other than to claim the lives of all those around them.
In this new Age of Reckoning one may be certain that the Brides of Khaine shall be prominent upon the fields of battle and not only upon the shores of Ulthuan. For while the Altar of Khaine shall certainly drawn many of these deadly maidens to do battle to claim it once more, their fanatical devotion shall certainly see them turn their eye upon other prizes to offer to their lord. Our Empire has long been spared the wrath of the Druchii, but distance alone shall serve as no barrier to those who see us a little more than chattel. I fear that all too soon the blood of innocents shall flow from their knives as their dark ships bring these dark maidens to our shores
